Walden Galleria brief target of AMBER Alert search Tuesday

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The search for McKenzie Wilson briefly intensified in the Town of Cheektowaga after the State Police received a report that the truck was in the area of the Walden Galleria Tuesday afternoon.

The Cheektowaga Police were notified of the development around 1 p.m. after reports from the State Police said the stolen red pickup truck was possibly seen exiting the I-90 at the Walden Avenue exit a law enforcement source tells Cheektowaga Chronicle.

Authorities from the Cheektowaga Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police searched the parking lots of the Walden Galleria, Cabela’s, Millenium Hotel and other businesses around the area.  The truck was not found.

Authorities said Wilson was abducted in Lyndon, New York around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle has been identified as a Red pickup truck Chevy Silverado with New York license plate number CXA5836. The vehicle was stolen from the vicinity of the abduction and has a black bow tie on the front grille. The vehicle also has an extended cab.
