CHEEKTOWAGA – Three people were transported to the hospital after an SUV drove into a home on George Urban Boulevard.

The crash happened around 9:30 pm Tuesday night.

“There was a medical condition going on inside the car, and that’s how it ended up coming through Otto’s parking lot, through the wooden fence, and into the house,” said U-Crest Fire Chief Bryan Chapman Jr.

Three people were hurt in the crash including the person suffering the medical emergency.  They were all transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The home’s occupant was sleeping in his bedroom at the time of the crash, and the vehicle came to rest “pretty close” to his bed.

“I would say he’s pretty lucky.  He definitely had a guardian angel,” said Mr. Chapman.  “He ended up crawling out of his back window.  We ended up evaluating him, and he signed off.  Everything was fine with him.”

The Trailblazer was removed from the building by First Choice Automotive.  The building was condemned by the town’s building inspector.
