Winds could be an issue over the next two days

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – A Wind Advisory has been issued for Cheektowaga and the surrounding area from 10 a.m. Friday unit 10 p.m. Saturday.

Storms will be moving through the area bringing unusually warm temperatures and winds over the next two days.  Sustain winds will be 20 to 30 mph from the southwest.  We could see gusts up to 50 mph.

Tree limps could come down and some neighbors may see isolated power outages.  Driving in the mom van and other high profile vehicles could be difficult at times.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use caution until the winds subside.
