Westbound expressway, Union Road shut down for police emergency

CHEEKTOWAGA – A portion of the Union Road overpass and the westbound Kensington Expressway was shut down for a short time Sunday afternoon as first responders attended to a person in crisis.

The incident began around 2:30 pm and was over less than a half-hour later.

One person was transported to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance.
