CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Two people have been slapped with felony charges after police say they impersonated law enforcement and tried to gain entry to a Park Edge Drive house late Monday morning.
Anthony Vo, 21, of Brayton Street and Natasha Carrion, 29, of Breckenridge Street both in Buffalo, were charged with Attempted Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Criminal Impersonation.
Assistant Chief James Speyer of the Cheektowaga Police Department says Vo and Carrion allegedly had a dispute over money that was owed to them by the resident. The two went to the house and posed as police officers claiming to have a warrant.
Police received a 911 call just before 11 a.m. about several people pounding on the door at 70 Park Edge Drive. Police officers arrived to the scene and place the two in custody. Police said they recovered two air soft guns.
Vo and Carrion were arraigned Tuesday in Cheektowaga Justice Court and will go before Judge Dennis Gorski on Friday for their Felony Hearing.
