CHEEKTOWAGA – Town of Cheektowaga Supervisor Diane Benczkowski has issued a travel advisory for the town.
There is to be no unnecessary travel as highway crews continue to work to clear streets of snow. Residents are also asked to keep your vehicles parked in your driveway and off roads.
Garbage and recycling pickup for Thursday has been postponed until next week. This also applies for routes with a Wednesday pickup.

The National Weather Service has issued a Bizzard warning for northern Erie County until 1 am Thursday. Heavy lake effect snow with additional accumulations 5 to 10 inches. Winds will be gusting as high as 35 mph. Wind chills will drop as low as 25 below zero.
