CHEEKTOWAGA – A modified site plan to reduce the footprint of a proposed warehouse/office building at the new Gardenvillage Plaza development was approved by the town council Tuesday.

The council originally approved Benderson Development Company’s plan to build three new buildings at the old Gardenvillage Plaza site.

Citing cost considerations, Benderson modified their plan and is reducing the smallest proposed warehouse/office building from 27,000 square feet to 10,314 square feet.  The added space will become green space.

Benderson is investing $20.7 million dollars into the project and hopes to attract a minimum of 124 jobs.  The average yearly wage will be $30,000.
