Town Board approves car wash, addition at Aldi

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The Cheektowaga Town Board approved two site plans and a special use permit at Tuesday night’s board meeting.

Hamburg businessman Jim Lutz will convert a vacant retail building at 142 French Road into a two bay self-service car wash.  The property will be rezoned from M1-Light Manufacturing to MS-Motor Service.

The Aldi store at 1685 Walden Avenue will be adding a 1,392 s.f. building addition onto their current grocery store near the loading dock area.

A special use permit was granted to Verizon Wireless to erect a micro cellular antenna on the existing retail building at 3735 Union Road as long as Verizon camouflages the antenna and any coaxial cable runs by painting the antenna, supports and cable runs to match the roof/building colors.
