Three arrested in Walmart shoplifting incident

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Three people were arrested in connection to a shoplifting incident at Walmart Wednesday evening.

Police responded to Walmart just before 7 p.m. after a woman reportedly took costume jewelry and coloring books and ran out of the store.

A search of the area commenced including the area around a nearby carpet store, a drainage ditch and railroad tracks.

Police caught up to the woman at a business on Broadway.

Two other people were also detained by police.

Arrests were made for shoplifting, narcotics, and a bench warrant issued by Buffalo.

An Oldsmobile Cutlass was towed by First Choice Automotive.
