BUFFALO – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Niagara Frontier. It is in effect from 3 am Tuesday until 10 pm later that day.
Snow and mixed precipitation are expected with this storm. Total snow accumulations of three to six inches and ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch is expected.
Snow will be produced by lake effect streamers off of Lake Erie.
“Expect two-three inches across the western Southern Tier by 6 am Tuesday, with an inch
or less farther north. The snow may begin to mix with sleet and freezing rain before daybreak across Chautauqua County,” the weather service said.
Winds gusting as high as 40 mph may bring down a few tree branches and result in isolated power outages.
