Rollover crash shuts down Kensington Expressway

CHEEKTOWAGA – Friday morning’s commute on the Kensington Expressway was impacted by a rollover crash.

The incident happened around 7:15 am under the overpass at Pine Ridge Heritage Road.

Cheektowaga Police say it appears a car in the westbound lane stuck a light pole causing it to fall into the eastbound lanes.  One of the eastbound vehicles rolled over.

Pine Hill Fire Chief Dan Malkowski says eight cars were involved.  No one was seriously hurt. One person was transported to Erie County Medical Center to be checked out.
