Councilmember James Rogowski held 44 votes over Councilmember Alice Magierski primary night.  Ms. Magierski had hopes that 203 absentee ballots would put her over the top but despite picking up an additional 136 votes, her name will not be on the Democratic line.

Mr. Rogowski picked up another 114 votes and managed to hold a 22 vote lead over Ms.Magierski.

She is still running however on the Conservative line and she thinks voters will jump party lines to re-elect her to a four-year term.

“It’s not a closed door at this point.  I hold my head high, and I did what I had to do.  I’ve been a public servant, and I’m proud of what I’ve done and what I presented,” Ms. Magierski said last month.
