CHEEKTOWAGA – A Rochester developer is the new owner of the property on which Western New York’s first Chick-fil-A restaurant will be built.

Morgan Cheektowaga LLC purchased 1753 Walden Avenue from Team R N B Wisconsin LLC – the former franchisee of Famous Dave’s BBQ – for the price tag of $2,233,530 according to the property deed filed with the Erie County Clerk’s Office on Wednesday.

Records also show that the company also took out a mortgage on the property from US Income Partners LLC, of Monroe County for $2.7 million.

Construction work has begun on the property to removed storage tanks from under the parking lot a source with knowledge of the project told Cheektowaga Chronicle.  Work to demolish the building is expected to start in the next few weeks.

Morgan Cheektowaga LLC is connected to Rochester developer Robert Morgan of 1080 Pittsford Victor Road according to New York State corporation filings.

The Town of Cheektowaga town board approved plans to build a 5,000 sq-ft Chick-fil-A restaurant on the site this past September.
