Pine Hill firefighter robbed at gunpoint

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – A volunteer firefighter with the Pine Hill Hose Company was robbed at gunpoint overnight Thursday.

The incident happened around 1:37 a.m. at the corner of Peach Tree Road and Kaufman Drive.

The firefighter told police that a black male of medium build displayed a black automatic handgun and took his keys, wallet, cellphone and fire department pager according to the Cheektowaga Police Blotter.

The stickup man was wearing a hoodie.  Police attempted to track the victim’s phone with negative results.

The robbery did not occur during an emergency call.
