CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – After months of construction – we are less than a month away from the opening of the new Moe’s Southwest Grill on Union Road.
The grand opening is slated for April 20th. This will be the eighth franchise to open in the Western New York market and franchisee Jerry Uvira tells Cheektowaga Chronicle that the company is seeing positive results here in the Buffalo market.
“People in Buffalo tend to really embrace Moe’s because of the quality, value, and service we provide. It all starts with our Welcome to Moe’s greeting as soon as you enter our restaurants. We love the Moe’s brand awareness from our guests here in Buffalo,” said Uvira.
Part of that branding comes from their partnership with the professional sports teams in town. Moe’s is an official sponsor of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. They have also worked with the Buffalo Bills.
The Mexican flavor restaurant is looking to hire 30-50 people to help run day to day operations. Interested candidates can apply at More’s Jobs.
The 3,600 sq ft. location will have the capacity to seat 100 people and it will have an updated design feel. The location will even include a drive-thru window.
“We are excited to offer a drive-thru service here in the Buffalo Market. With all the climate changes here in Buffalo, we feel the drive thru will be a convenient service to our guests,” added Ulvira.
Work to bring the new location to Cheektowaga started in April, 2016.
“Cheektowaga has been a great partner thru the building process. We are so happy to be a part of this community,” said Ulvira.
Ulvira owns Buf Foods, LLC registered to an address in Blacklick, Ohio. Buf Foods, LLC also operates four other Moe’s locations around the Buffalo area; Amherst, Angola, Buffalo and Depew.
