The Cheektowaga Town Board requests bids for the following:


Notice to Bidders – Cleaning, Televising & Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer Facilities thru Cured-in-Place Pipe (Bid #2017-13)

NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received and considered by the Town Board of the Town of Cheektowaga on April 5, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Town Hall, corner of Broadway and Union Roads, Cheektowaga, New York for Phase III of Cleaning, Televising and Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer Facilities thru Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) in the Town of Cheektowaga. Information for bidders and specifications may be examined at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga, New York 14227. Copies may be purchased from the Town Clerk’s Office upon payment of $50.00 in the form of one (1) check made payable to the Town of Cheektowaga for each copy requested. Any bidder returning such Specifications in good condition within ten (10) business days following the bid opening will be refunded the full amount of the deposit. The deposit will not be refunded for non-bidders. Material suppliers and anyone returning the Specifications before the bid opening will be classified as non-bidders. Any bidders requesting more than one (1) set of Specifications may purchase the excess, but it is understood that these are non-refundable. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside “Bid for Phase III of Cleaning, Televising and Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer Facilities thru Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP)” and submitted to the Town Clerk prior to bid opening. The work shall be completed within one hundred eighty (150) calendar days, to begin five (5) days after the “Notice to Proceed” has been issued. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Please note that funding for the improvements will be provided by the New York State Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Therefore, the following requirements are to be complied with. Further information regarding these requirements are contained with the project contract book as Appendix “C” and “E”. – Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Program – Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program – Disadvantaged Business Enterprises – Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage (DBRA) Requirements – American Iron and Steel Requirements The Town Board reserves the right to consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of the specifications and contract documents, and may waive any informalities, make an award to other than the low bidder, should it be in the best interest of the Town, or reject any and all bids. Please be advised that in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Cheektowaga Town Board on December 23, 2004, effective December 24, 2004, and as amended by Town Board Resolution dated February 23, 2008, contractors on all construction contracts with a value in excess of $1,000,000 and up to $3,000,000 must have Apprenticeship Agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed that have been registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor in accordance with Article 23 of the New York Labor Law,.
