Man struck and killed by vehicle on Clinton Street

CHEEKTOWAGA – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle overnight Saturday according to the Cheektowaga Police.

It happened just after 1:00 am along Clinton Street between the McDonald’s restaurant and S. Rossler Avenue.

Police say a 63-year-old David A. Wdzieczny of West Seneca was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2017 white Jeep Compass that was traveling westbound.  The man died at the scene. 

The driver of the Jeep, 20-year-old Rebecca D. Pathammavong, also of West Seneca, is cooperating with the police and witness statements are being gathered to determine what the man was doing in the middle of the road when the collision happened.  Snow was steadily falling at the time of the accident.

The department’s Accident Investigation Unit was recreating the collision into the early morning hours. Other witnesses are asked to call accident investigators at 716-686-3580.
