Man stabbed during Aurora Drive robbery

CHEEKTOWAGA – A man sought treatment for a stab wound he suffered during an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon Cheektowaga Police say.

The incident happened on Aurora Drive near Harlem Road around 4:31 pm. 

Police tell Cheektowaga Chronicle that a 22-year-old man said he was on the side of the road in a vehicle and was approached by another man.  The unknown man stole the victim’s wallet and then stabbed him.  Around $1,000 was stolen.

The victim went to Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus for treatment.  Police say the man suffered a 1/2 inch arm laceration that required stitches.

A 2015 Kia Optima was impounded by the police for evidence.
