CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Cheektowaga Town Judge Paul Piotrowski sentenced a Buffalo man to the maximum Monday after a guilty plea to Petit Larceny.

A Cheektowaga Police news release says, John Culpepper, 50, of Bailey Ave was arrested by Cheektowaga Police last November after employees of Lenscrafters in the Walden Galleria recognized him as the person who had stolen several glass frames from the business on multiple occasions in the past.

It is estimated that Culpepper stole over $3,000 worth of frames from Lenscrafters during 2016.  Police say he stole from the store at least five times.

He was charged with multiple counts of Petit Larceny.

Judge Piotrowski imposed the maximum sentence on Culpepper for the nature of the crimes and an extensive criminal history.
