CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – A Cheektowaga man who burglarized and stole from his own family will spend the next year in jail.

Nicholas Harber, 38, of Preston Road was sentenced to one year in jail by Cheektowaga Town Judge Paul Piotrowski Monday in connection with his guilty plea to Criminal Trespass and Petit Larceny.

A Cheektowaga Police news release said Harber was arrested last September after he burglarized a family member’s home and stole several credit cards.  He was charged with Burglary and Grand Larceny.

Judge Piotrowski imposed the maximum sentence on Harber for the nature of the crimes and an extensive criminal history.
