CHEEKTOWAGA – The Walden Galleria and Cheektowaga Police Department will host a lockdown drill on Thursday, February 8th at 10:15 AM.
This drill is a precautionary measure made by the mall’s security team and Cheektowaga Police Department to equip employees with proper training in the case of an emergency.
“It is imperative to keep the lines of communication open between Walden Galleria’s Security Department, Cheektowaga Police, and mall employees to inform and properly prepare for an emergency situation,” said Alex Corbelli, Marketing Director for Walden Galleria. “By hosting quarterly drills, the groups involved are familiarized with the necessary actions in order to take during an emergency event.”
Lockdown drills are run regularly each quarter to establish a basis for a procedure in the case of a crisis.
The drill will be started during open mall hours to emulate a realistic situation for employees, security, and police.
