Hy-View fire explorer Timothy Richardson gets nationwide support

BUFFALO – Hy-View Fire Company explorer Timothy Richardson is fighting T-cell leukemia.  To raise his spirits during his fight, his family put out a plea on Facebook for other fire departments to donate t-shirts or patches.

Almost a week has passed since the plea went out and now shirts are pouring in from across the country, and his story has been shared by the Today Show on NBC.

Photos posted on Hy-View’s Facebook page shows packages stacked upon chairs and t-shirts covering tables.

As of Monday, March 12th, Timmy has received around 1,500 t-shirts.
