CHEEKTOWAGA – Discount air carrier Frontier Airlines announced Thursday that they will begin non-stop service from Buffalo to Austin, Texas and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina starting in April.
Frontier is the first airline to offer the routes departing from Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
Bob Westgate, director of network scheduling for Frontier said the expansion is due in part to the Western New York and Canadian region embracing their brand since starting service at the airport this past December.
“We are committed to making flying affordable for everyone and are excited to launch the only nonstop flights to the great state of Texas via Austin and to Raleigh-Durham. We look forward to providing more customers in the Buffalo-Niagara region with some of the lowest fares in the industry and a great travel experience,” said Mr. Westgate.
Frontier in Buffalo currently operates nonstop flights to Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. The carrier will begin flights to Denver starting April 9th.
