CHEEKTOWAGA – The felony hearing for Travis Green has been postponed until Tuesday due to scheduling issues.
Mr. Green was scheduled to appear in Cheektowaga Town Court Monday for the felony hearing but his defense attorney from the assigned counsel’s office was not able to make it.
Another attorney from the assigned counsel’s office ask the Judge Paul Piotrowski for a postponement.
“All we did was a scheduling switch. We came in and said we can’t do it this morning, they still have time, we want to do it tomorrow instead,” said attorney James Auricchio.
The state has 144 hours to hold a Felony hearing. They are within that timeframe.
Cheektowaga Police say Mr. Green went to the Dollar General store last Tuesday and fire 20 shots into the front of the store. One of the bullets wounded a 53-year-old Cheektowaga man.
Travis Green, 29, is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd, Criminal Use of a Firearm, Reckless Endangerment, Assault, Unlawful Use of Body Armor, and Resisting Arrest. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment last week.
