CHEEKTOWAGA – A Genesee Street dent repair business that was denied a rezoning request by the Cheektowaga Town Board earlier this year has moved to Niagara County.

The building that housed Dent Pro Buffalo, LLC at 3232 Genesee Street has been vacant for several months.  Cheektowaga Chronicle reached out to the business through Facebook last month asking if the business moved.

A representative for the business returned our message Monday stating the business moved to 9811 Lockport Road in Niagara Falls.

Dent Pro attempted late last year to rezone the property from general commercial to motor service to allow the company to engage in “push to paint” repair work in one of its four service bays.

It was an uphill battle as former Councilmember James Rogowski fought the rezoning saying the business was cited several times by town building inspectors and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for painting cars illegally before the rezoning application was submitted to the town.

The town council unanimously denied Dent Pro’s rezoning request last January.
