CHEEKTOWAGA – The doors to the Walden Avenue Chick-fil-A will open at 6:30 am Thursday, November 29th.
Cheektowaga Police will have traffic restrictions in place near the restaurant. Walden Avenue and Anderson Road will be open to local traffic.
Folks that are going to dine-in or carry out food will enter the parking lot off of Walden Avenue near the Upstate Niagara Cooperative driveway.
Drive-thru customers will form a line starting at Peppy Place and Walden Avenue. The line will snake down Dale Road and the center of Anderson Road before entering the drive-thru.
Cheektowaga Police are scheduled to provide traffic control around the restaurant through Saturday. Chick-fil-A is reimbursing the town for personnel expenses.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to start at 9 am.
The restaurant is independently owned and operated by local Western New Yorker Cassandra Sheedy and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It is set to employ approximately 120 full- and part-time team members.
