CHEEKTOWAGA – A Delta flight from Buffalo to Detroit was struck by lightning and had to perform a landing at the airport under emergency conditions Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened just before 4 pm approximately 12 miles west of Buffalo according to NFTA Spokesperson Helen Tederous.
“The plane rerouted back to Buffalo and landed safely with 60 souls on board at approximately 4:10,” Ms. Tederous said in an email.
No injuries were reported.
