CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The Cheektowaga Police Department and Councilmember Alice Magierski are ramping up their efforts to give parents the tools needed to keep their kids safe while they surf today’s social media platforms.
The next Internet/Cyberspace and Safety Awareness Forum is being hosted by the Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the John F. Kennedy High School, 305 Cayuga Creek Road, Cafeteria A, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The forum is sponsored by the Cheektowaga Police Community Crime Prevention Office. Cheektowaga Police Detective Michael Hockwater shares information on how to keep your children safe in today’s social media environment and teaches you about the many sites that your kids are going to and the what dangers they could be encountering.
Several members from different Town departments will also be on hand to dispense information about the services provided by their departments.
The Forum is open to all Cheektowaga residents and their family and friends. For more details, please contact Councilmember Alice Magierski at (716) 583-0704.
