CHEEKTOWAGA – The Chick-fil-A project is moving full steam ahead and construction is set to begin soon according to a Councilmember James Rogowski.

He announced on his Facebook account Wednesday morning that the Atlanta based fast food chain will be breaking ground at 1753 Walden Avenue next Monday.

Chick-fil-A demolished the old Famous Dave’s restaurant building after the town council approved the developer’s plan for a 5,000 sq. ft. restaurant last September.

Last year, developers were hoping for a ribbon cutting in late fall.

The future of the project was in question after the office of a Rochester developer with ties to the project was raided by the F.B.I. last week.
