Chick-fil-A eyes a fall opening for Cheektowaga location

CHEEKTOWAGA – Chick-fil-A says their Cheektowaga location won’t be open until late this year.

The company says in a statement that they don’t have an exact date just yet, but, plans a “projected 4th quarter 2018 grand opening.”

Back in July, Councilmember James Rogowski told Cheektowaga Chronicle that Georgia based Chick-fil-A chose the site of the old Famous Dave’s restaurant at 1753 Walden Avenue.

The Town of Cheektowaga Council approved site plans for the new 5,000 square foot restaurant with a dual lane drive-thru window back in September.

This first upstate New York Chick-fil-A location will open this coming April in Rochester according to WHEC tv news

For those of you who can’t wait – the new restaurant on West Ridge Road is about an hour drive away from Cheektowaga – shaving a half-hour off the drive down to Erie, PA.
