CHEEKTOWAGA – The Town of Cheektowaga is looking to hire several Public Safety Dispatchers off of an upcoming county-wide Civil Service test in January.
Being a Public Safety Dispatcher requires high caliber people who are ready to be part of a great team. A dispatcher must be able to make decisions and act quickly, with limited time and information in situations where there is an element of danger. He or she must be able to deal with people in all circumstances while remaining calm and professional.
The Civil Service test which candidates are going to be hired from is to be held on January 19, 2019. Applications must be postmarked by December 12, 2018.
Starting salary is $19.88/hour and $28.99 after ten-years. Benefits include Health insurance including dental and vision, Life Insurance, Personal, Sick, Vacation and Holiday time. Uniform allowance and participation in the NYS pension system.
