CHEEKTOWAGA – The Town of Cheektowaga will be presented with a “substantial” amount of money today by State Senator Tim Kennedy and Assemblymember Monica Wallace during a press event said a source with knowledge of the matter.

The funding is apart of a Regional Economic Development Council application the town submitted this past summer.

“It’s a substantial amount that will go towards the DEC consent order for inflow and infiltration and overflow,” the source said.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that Western New York won $329.7 Million in regional council awards on December 13th.

The exact funding for Cheektowaga was not disclosed Thursday morning.
