CHEEKTOWAGA – The Cheektowaga Police are seeking leads from the public in identifying a bank robbery suspect.
Police say this man held up the KeyBank at 1675 Walden Avenue around 3:44 pm Thursday. According to police reports, the man handed the teller a note saying he was robbing the bank. No weapon was displayed or mentioned but he did take off with an undetermined amount of cash. It was not clear if the man had a getaway car or if he fled on foot.
A search of the nearby area with the help of a state police K9 resulted in negative results.
The suspect is described by police as a 30-year-old dark skinned black man. He was wearing a tan coat, brown pants, sunglasses, and a tan brimmed hat.
