Friday, January 4th | 204 calls:
12:53 am – Pine Hill firefighters attended to a head-on injury accident on Pine Ridge Road. Three people were transported to ECMC.
2:00 am – The driver of a Ford Ranger with Alabama plates was pulled over on Crescent Court after a chase that started on Genesee Street. Charges were not listed.
2:58 am – An employee of Pharaohs Gentlemens Club was arrested for assault after getting into a fight with another employee.
7:59 am – The management office at Slate Creek Drive Apartments called the police saying some homeless people were sleeping in one of the buildings. The group of people told the police that they were locked out of their friend’s apartment, so they decided to sleep in the hallway.
8:20 am – A town sanitation truck took down a pole in front of 4455 Genesee Street. A sanitation supervisor responded with the police, and an accident report was filed.
1:08 pm – A woman was arrested at the Walden Avenue Target Plaza for shoplifting.
5:33 pm – A man was cleaning out his grandfather’s home and came across an unloaded pistol that he no longer wanted. The police department took custody of the weapon and put it in a property lockup.
5:47 pm – A DHL truck drove away from the Citgo Gas Station on George Urban Boulevard and ripped off the gas hose from the pump. The truck was not located, and a complaint slip was issued to the station.
6:51 pm – A 24-year-old male suffered a drug overdose in a car outside Walmart. Narcan was administered, and the person was transported to ECMC. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
7:25 pm – A driver, passed out at the French Road Tim Hortons was arrested for driving while impaired by drugs.
9:08 pm – A fight between three patrons broke out inside Zhang’s Buffet on Union Road. The police arrived and noted in the blotter that a bill was paid and everyone was advised.
Saturday, January 5th | 147 calls:
1:33 am – A drunk driver was arrested on Genesee Street.
8:16 am – A stolen vehicle was recovered on Ludington Street.
10:05 am – A car was burglarized on Robert Court, and power tools were stolen.
11:41 am – The police are looking for a homeless person living in the woods off Joel Drive.
12:54 pm – An argument in the middle of Wagner Avenue prompted the response of the police. No one was arrested.
1:45 pm – Doyle Hose firefighters attended to a crash on Harlem Road. Two people were transported to the hospital.
5:10 pm – U-Crest firefighters put out an over fire on Claudette Court by using two fire extinguishers.
5:22 pm – Two people were arrested on Jamaica Lane after the police recovered a stolen vehicle.
9:03 pm – Three teens stole candy and drinks from the Family Dollar on Genesee Street. Two of them were stopped by the police at Peachtree and Pine Ridge. They were taken home to mom and dad and were told not to return to the store.
9:27 pm – Firefighters around the airport were put on standby after a plane reported the smell of smoke in the cabin. The plane landed safely at 9:50 pm.
Sunday, January 6th | 135 calls:
12:17 am – A large party at a home on Pine Park Street spilled outside. The police told the party attendees to keep the festivities inside.
2:19 am – A unruly customer who didn’t like being escorted out of Yings, Wings, and Things by the bar’s bouncers was pushing and shoving. An eyewitness thought it was a fight and called the police.
5:38 am – The police deescalated a domestic situation on Reo Avenue. The police responded to the home after a report was received that a man was holding a woman at gunpoint. The woman was able to get out of the house, and a police sergeant made contact with the barricaded man with a cell phone at 5:54 am. The man was talked out of the house and was in custody at 6:01 am.
11:59 am – U-Crest firefighters assisted at a two-car motor vehicle accident in front of 4611 Genesee Street. One person was transported to the hospital.
1:19 pm – Forks firefighters attended to a four-car crash in front of 3500 Broadway. No one required first aid, but the police arrested one driver for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
3:12 pm – A stolen vehicle was recovered on Wagner Avenue.
5:57 pm – A woman was arrested at the Thruway Plaza for shoplifting at Tops.
7:18 pm – A man, woman, and juvenile were arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.
8:59 pm – A drunk driver was arrested at a traffic stop on the 3100 block of Union Road.
9:04 pm – A 91-year-old man died on Clearvale Drive. A police report for an unattended death was filed.
10:07 pm – Someone shot off fireworks in the area of Steven Drive.
