Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Wednesday, November 21, 2018

First responders were called out to 213 incidents the day before Thanksgiving.

7:28 am – A 14-year-old was arrested and dropped off at family court after his parents called to report that he stole their vehicle overnight and smashed it somewhere.

8:42 am – Police went out to help a person on Mafalda Drive. A child was locked in a vehicle. The car was running but the auto starter shut off.

11:04 am – Officers were called to Union Road Elementary. A marijuana pipe was found in a preschooler’s bag and they needed it to be properly disposed of. CPS was already contacted by school officials.

2:50 pm – One person was taken to St. Joes after a three-car crash on the 33. This was the first of four separate crashes over the span of an hour on the Kensington Expressway.

3:13 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to check out a fire alarm on Highview Road. It turned out it was set off by a broken turkey bag in the oven.

6:39 pm – A person was taken to ECMC after a crash on the I-90.

9:20 pm – A mother called 911 to say her son was swearing and yelling. She wanted him to leave her Raymond Avenue home. She was advised of eviction procedures by officers.
