First responders were called out to 129 incidents on Wednesday. The following is a look at what calls came in to dispatchers. 

1:30 am – A driver was arrested on Genesee Street for drunk driving. 

7:34 am – A person was taken to ECMC after a crash near Harlem Road. 

10:10 am – Police helped an elderly man on a bicycle get to the Senior Center.

10:06 am – A police report was filed after an employee at Days Inn shoved and threatened a co-worker.

10:27 am – A man was helped by an ambulance crew and Cleveland Hill firefighters after he fell down on a sidewalk and had a seizure. The firefighters stayed with the man’s dog until the pooch was able to be picked up. 

11:29 am – A caller noticed a man slumped at the wheel of a U-Haul on Union Road. He was given a dose of Narcan and taken to ECMC for treatment. The man was arrested for DUI. 

12:28 pm – While investigating a crash on Union Road, an officer was struck by a vehicle’s mirror in the arm. A report was filed. The officer didn’t seek medical treatment. 

1:39 pm – A police report was filed after one Maryvale student allegedly threatened another student. 

1:43 pm – Police tried to serve a subpoena to a man – only to find out he has been dead for the past two years. 

3:00 pm – Police were called to a home on Gierlach Street after a mother said her 13-year-old son hit her 8-year-old son with a dog leash. The teenager also apparently said he wishes for a school shooting. Everyone was advised by police. 

3:29 pm – A man was taken to ECMC for a mental evaluation. His doctor’s office called police to say the man told the doctor he wanted to kill himself – and lied to the doctor about having multiple forms of cancer. 

7:37 pm – Officers advised a couple people over an issue of harassment over Facebook. 

11:10 pm – A woman called police to say that a man she has an order of protection against may be having sex with another woman in the downstairs apartment. She was advised about her options with her stay away order.
