Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 138 calls for service on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

8:52 am – A drunk driver was arrested at a traffic stop on Harlem Road.

10:53 am – The police arrested one person on Pine Ridge Road for endangering the welfare of a child after a school notified the police that a first-grade student was left home alone.

1:20 pm – A neighbor dispute on Rowley Road was mediated.  One neighbor was complaining about barking dogs.

4:33 pm – U-Crest firefighters attended to a crash on Genesee Street. One person was transported to ECMC.

4:46 pm – An employee at Chick-fil-A quit after she wanted to fight another employee.  The owner wanted the incident documented.

6:17 pm – A group of kids on the basketball court at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary were being loud and not letting others onto the court.  The police told them to share.

6:32 pm – The police arrested a drunk driver on Transit Road.

9:25 pm – A traffic stop on Walden Avenue netted two arrests for weed and unlicensed operation.

11:00 pm – A would-be customer at the Union Road Burger King slammed the drive-thru window on the manager’s arm and stole food.  The manager declined to be seen by an ambulance.

11:24 pm – One person was arrested on Halstead Avenue after the police responded to a fight between ten people in the middle of the street.
