Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 153 calls for service on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

12:47 am – A warrant was issued for a woman that broke a window on Clinton Street.

12:13 pm – A car was burglarized at the AppleTree Business Park.

1:37 pm – The police conducted a welfare check on Seminole Parkway after a renal care patient missed his last two appointments.  The man later showed up for the appointment.

2:04 pm – A caller to the police said two people were smoking a joint in a car on Aberdeen Street.  The police arrived and arrested a man and woman.

2:53 pm – Save-a-Lot on S. Rossler Avenue asked the police to get an arrest warrant after a man stole pepperoni from the store.

4:13 pm – The driver of a Jeep Patriot couldn’t escape jail after the police conducted a traffic stop on Broadway in Sloan.  He gave the police a phony name, but they saw through the fake identity and busted him for false impersonation and the two arrest warrants in his real name.

4:52 pm – A 68-year-old woman died on Floreis Court. An unattended death report was conducted, and the medical examiner released the deceased to the funeral home.

5:15 pm – A delivery driver said that his car was stolen from outside the Walden Galleria while he was inside making a delivery.  He told the police he left his Chevy Cruze running outside of the Cheesecake Factory.  The car was last seen eastbound on Galleria Drive.  Buffalo police later recovered the vehicle. One person was arrested.

6:24 pm – A group of people was barred from the mall after getting into a verbal argument with a mall employee at the food court.

7:04 pm – The dog control officer checked Pine Ridge Road for two loose Pitbulls.

8:12 pm – A dog on Halstead Avenue bit and scratched another dog.  The dog control officer is investigating.

8:41 pm – The police on routine patrol stopped a woman begging for money outside the Family Dollar on Genesee Street.  She was told not to come back or face arrest.

11:44 pm – Patrol officers found dumpster divers behind Yings, Wings, and Things on French Road.  The people were warned to stop and later released.
