First responders responded to 164 calls on Wednesday in the town. Here is a look at some of the incidents.
7:30 am – South Line firefighters were called out to a warehouse alarm on Innsbruck. It turned out it was accidentally set off.
8:50 am – Police responded to an apartment building on Rowan Road where neighbors were screaming at each other through the walls. They were all advised.
12:17 pm – Police were called out to help highway crews that said they were having a tough time getting around a private plow on Genesee Street.
12:18 pm – A person on Steven Drive called to say they saw a man in her backyard jumping fences in the neighborhood. It turned out to be a NYSEG meter reader.
1:04 pm – A police report was filed for an unattended death on Lydia Lane.
1:41 pm – An employee at Target on Walden was arrested for grand larceny.
2:59 pm – A person called to report that their neighbor was shoveling snow into the street.
3:06 pm – A person on South Transit Hill Drive was upset about a neighbor blowing snow against their house.
3:15 pm – A person on Royal Palm Drive was concerned after a man stopped them to ask if they knew about a women’s shelter in the area. Police tracked down the man and spoke with him.
3:40 pm – Police advised a man in a pickup truck about doing donuts in a parking lot off of French Road.
3:46 pm – Police were called to Roland Street after a person said their neighbor threw all the snow back in their driveway after they shoveled.
4:09 pm – An officer noticed a person on Westbrook Drive blowing snow into the street. They were advised that it’s not allowed.
4:14 pm – Neighbors were fighting over snow removal on Anna Marie Terrace. Everyone was advised by police.
4:16 pm – A snow plow driver was advised on Goering Avenue after a neighbor complained about the plow driver putting snow in their driveway.
4:18 pm – Police needed to calm down a couple drivers involved in a road rage incident after they both pulled into the Airport Lanes parking lot and were yelling at each other.
4:43 pm – Residents on Hillwood Drive were advised by police after they pushed their snow into the street.
5:04 pm – Officers dealt with a snow plow driver who was not very cooperative on Roland Street. He was pushing a significant amount of snow into the roadway and blocking another neighbor’s house.
5:26 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to deal with a propane tank leaking outside on Norine Drive.
7:58 pm – The housing department was notified about “rat activity” spotted by an officer on Concord Drive.
10:22 pm – A pup was found on Hyland Road, without any tags on. A few minutes later the dog and owner were reunited.
