Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 176 calls for service on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

8:09 am – A resident on Walden Avenue reported that someone broke their car window sometime overnight.

11:25 am – The police took a report of a Brentwood Drive senior getting scammed out of $1,950.00.

2:08 pm – A resident of Baywood Drive says his daughter is sexting with a 40-year-old.

2:33 pm – One person was transported to ECMC after a crash on the eastbound Kensington Expressway.

3:02 pm – Town police officers assisted the U.S. Marshals in apprehending a warrant suspect on Primrose Drive.

4:35 pm – A threat assessment was performed for Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.

7:06 pm – A Normandy Avenue resident told the police that an unknown phone number has been asking her for explicit pictures in exchange for money.

11:20 pm – The police investigated a shots fired call on Campbell Road.
