Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Wednesday, February 20, 2019

Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 165 calls for service on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

1:35 am – A woman in the police cellblock was complaining of chest pains.  An ambulance responded to the police station and examined her.  She was diagnosed with a possible case of Incarceritis and remained at headquarters.

3:04 am – An ambulance transported a man who was vomiting inside the police cellblock to ECMC.  He returned to the police station at 8:00 am.

8:13 am – Pine Hill firefighters were alerted to a possible fire in the back of a town garbage truck as it was collecting on Olcott Place.  The small rubbish fire was extinguished by the sanitation workers before the firefighters arrived on location.

10:00 am – A tow truck dropped a whole fuel tank in the middle of Fath Drive.  U-Crest firefighters attended to the scene and applied 40 lbs of granulated absorbent material to the spill.

12:02 pm – The police conducted a welfare check on a Borden Road woman after she nearly hit a town highway truck.  While she appeared confused to the highway crew, the police determined that she was okay after talking with her.

1:19 pm – A suspicious person was checked out after he was observed looking at cars and license plates in the Highway Department parking lot.  Another man was also in the police department parking lot with a walkie talkie.  Both checked out.  They were conducting an audit.

2:17 pm – The police went store to store at Walden Galleria after the mall sent out an alert to lockdown their stores.  The message was in error, and the police reassured everyone it was a mistake.

4:04 pm – An Alexander Avenue resident was counseled by the police after they found their car was egged.

4:43 pm – A water main break was reported on Bernice Drive.

17:22 pm – A guy smoking pot inside a hallway on Slate Creek Drive was arrested on a Buffalo warrant.  He was also charged with possession of marihuana.
