First responders attended to 195 calls for service on August 8, 2018.
5:58 am – The police arrested a man on a Niagara Falls warrant while they were conducting a welfare check at Denny’s on Genesee Street. The man was sleeping by the dumpster.
9:47 am – An Erie County officer evicting a Kilbourne Road resident was assisted by Cheektowaga.
10:05 am – A customer at Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Harlem Road was throwing things and was refusing to pay. The customer apologized and paid after a patrol officer spoke to the subject.
11:21 am – Six people were hurt in a two-car crash on Transit Road. Five were checked out by EMTs at the scene. Only one patient was transported to ECMC.
1:07 pm – A Wells Avenue resident says a known family member was given access to their bank account to make a few purchases, but the subject took around $1,000.
1:25 pm – The police arrested a man who stole makeup from a store at the Thruway Plaza.
2:25 pm – A Chesterfield Drive resident was scammed out of $3,000 from an internet scam.
3:59 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters assisted an Ontario Drive resident with a leaky sink.
5:00 pm – An ambulance transported one person to South Buffalo Mercy after a crash on Harlem Road.
5:47 pm – An unattended death report was filed on Delphi Drive.
647 pm – A 6-year-old child on Walton Drive was hit in the face with a shovel by her brother. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital for treatment.
7:30 pm – A patrol officer stopped a suspicious person outside Irr Supply Company on Broadway. The man was looking at dumpsters and he said he was thinking about renting one. After running the man’s name and vehicle, he was told to return during normal business hours.
