Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Tuesday, November 7, 2017

CHEEKTOWAGA – The Police and firefighters attended to 145 calls on Tuesday, November 7th.

2:05 am – An abandoned vehicle was towed from the 100 block of French Road.

2:13 am – A driver was arrested on Genesee Street for not having a valid license.

3:25 am – A driver was arrested on Broadway for narcotics possession.  The vehicle was released to the passenger.

7:04 am – A front door window was smashed at an address on Davidson Drive.

7:57 am – A man was arrested for violating an order of protection on Windwood Court.  911 call takers learned that a 60-year-old man was beating his girlfriend who later said she stabbed him.  EMS crews evaluated a “minor cut” and the man refused to be transported to the hospital.  A domestic incident report was filed.

9:34 am – A natural death was reported on Anthony Avenue.

12:04 pm – A Southgate Road man who is having electrical issues put a generator in his garage.  Patrol officers shut down the generator and called Cleveland Hill firefighters to the scene to check the house for Cabon Monoxide but refused the fire department access.  The building inspector is aware of the situation and is watching the issue.

12:33 pm – The police mediated a neighbor dispute on Lobue Lane.  A neighbor used to take out the trash for his senior neighbor and now she no longer wants his assistance.

1:23 pm – A man who lost money in an ATM at the Citizen’s Bank in the Thruway Plaza Tops Markets was yelling at employees.  He left prior to patrol’s arrival.

1:37 pm – A drunk driver was arrested during a traffic stop along the eastbound Kensington.

2:03 pm – A man arrested on Charles Street for an Erie County Sheriff’s warrant was also charged with narcotics possession.

3:19 pm – A Regal Cinema customer was upset that another moviegoer tried to take his phone away while he was using it during a movie.  The complainant left prior to patrol’s arrival.

6:54 pm – Two men were arrested at Wal-Mart after getting into a physical fight of an accident.  They were punching each other and pushing carts into cars.

6:57 pm – A woman was arrested for shoplifting from the Walden Galleria.

7:31 pm – A man was arrested on William Street for marijuana possession.  His car was towed.

7:32 pm – The police arrested a woman for refusing to pay for food at a restaurant inside the Walden Galleria.

9:30 pm – One person was banned from the Walden Galleria and another was arrested for trespassing.

9:34 pm – A domestic incident report was filed on Labue Lane for sex abuse in the 1st and forcible touching.

10:06 pm – A woman in the police lockup was transferred to ECMC by ambulance under the mental health law.

11:11 pm – A man was arrested at Wal-Mart for shoplifting.

11:55 pm – A plane reported that a laser pointer was hitting the cockpit.  Aero Drive and the surrounding area was checked.  The police were not able to find the suspect.
