First responders were called out to 155 incidents on Tuesday.
2:14 am – A call came in about someone possibly dumpster diving at Appletree Business Park. A man with a white van was checked out and sent on his way.
6:44 am – Cheektowaga Police helped the state tax office seize a vehicle on Garland Avenue.
8:32 am – A woman was arrested for shoplifting power tools from Home Depot. She also had narcotics on her at the time of the arrest.
10:01 am – Girls from an earlier incident at the Galleria are making threats online to come to the store and beat the caller up. A police report for harassment was filed.
12:27 pm – A woman was struck by a vehicle in the Wegman’s parking lot on Losson Road. She signed off on further treatment after being checked out by an ambulance crew and South Line firefighters.
1:22 pm – A woman was arrested for shoplifting at the Thruway Plaza Tops.
1:35 pm – A police report was filed after a purse was stolen from the food court at the Galleria.
1:56 pm – A piece of equipment was lent to a patient from St. Joes. Now the equipment was never returned back to the hospital. Police said they would make contact with the patient to try to encourage them to return the property.
2:43 pm – Doyle firefighters were called to JFK after a smoke alarm went off in one of the classrooms. It turns out it was an “experiment gone wrong”. The room was aired out.
6:59 pm – Two sons, 20 and 15 years old, were arrested for assaulting their mother and trashing her home on Ridge Park Avenue.
7:44 pm – A man was arrested for stealing carry out food from Tops in the Thruway Plaza.
10:56 pm – A 911 call came in about a woman on Francis Avenue yelling about someone taking her daughter’s medicine. A man was running from the area. Everyone involved was drunk. The man was found on the Harlem Road bridge and did not have the meds. A police report was filed and everyone was advised.
