Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 143 calls for service on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
3:02 am – A 27-year-old man overdosed on Heroin at a Lemans Drive address. Narcan was used to revive the man, and he was transported to ECMC.
10:24 am – A business on the 1800 block of Harlem Road said an employee’s tires were slashed overnight.
11:23 am – Two people were transported to St. Joes after a crash on Harlem Road.
11:27 am – A homeless man that hangs out in the mall concourse every day was banned from the property by management.
11:41 am – A town truck and state truck were involved in a crash on Harlem Road. No one hurt.
12:24 pm – A man wanted for burglary was arrested outside the RiteAid store at 2320 Genesee Street for begging for money.
1:10 pm – The police filed a natural death report after an 88-year-old woman died on St. Boniface Road.
2:41 pm – A baby was reportedly punched during a domestic disturbance on Ridge Park Avenue. An ambulance checked on the child.
4:01 pm – A resident on Allison Drive says their neighbor is threatening to beat her up. The police spoke to both parties.
4:37 pm – A group home on Borden Road was conducting their own investigation into a theft of $40, but they told the police that they also had to report it to the authorities.
5:27 pm – Forks firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire outside Milton’s Restaurant on Union Road.
5:36 pm – A worker at Walden Galleria was arrested for larceny.
7:46 pm – A person claiming to be from KeyBank called a woman on S. Seine Drive. The scammer asked for a social security number which we gave, and $500 was stolen from her bank account.
8:43 pm – Lancaster Police requested a female officer from Cheektowaga to search a female prisoner.
9:18 pm – Bellevue firefighters were able to isolate a gas leak to a minor leak on a hot water tank. They responded to a home on Como Park Boulevard after an odor of natural gas was smelled in the house.
11:06 pm – A drunk driver was arrested during a traffic stop on Walden Avenue.
