Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 156 calls for service on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.

12:31 am – The police investigated an attempted burglary at the Buffalo Gun Center.

1:03 am – One person was arrested for weapon possession after the police responded to Windwood Court to help a woman with an unwelcomed guest.

10:49 am – An ex-contractor went to a business at 2867 Broadway looking for money owed to him.  The business called the police because the contractor was trespassing.

12:02 pm – A resident of Miami Parkway said her brother took her vehicle without permission.  A warrant for his arrest was being processed.

2:01 pm – The police file a report for assault and harassment for a person on Wallace Avenue.

2:49 pm – A resident of Alaska Street said his identity was stolen and over $13,000 was stolen.

2:58 pm – Detectives recovered bullet casings on Tudor Road.

3:38 pm – The police documented the unattended death of a 70-year-old woman on Union Road.

3:45 pm – An oven fire on Olcott Place was attended to by Pine Hill firefighters.

6:26 pm – The police documented the unattended death of on Blick Street.

8:05 pm – The police responded to a fight at Walmart.  Participates were not very cooperative with law enforcement.

10:17 pm – Cash and gift cards were stolen from a locker room at Crunch Fitness on Dick Road.

10:36 pm – A passerby called the police to report a fight between two high school students on Hedwig Avenue.  The kids were just horseplaying.

11:29 pm – South Line firefighters responded to a house on Lehavre Drive to investigate a dishwasher on fire.  It appeared that a plastic item fell on the heating element.
