
Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 143 calls for service on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
7:00 am – The police received an alarm at Regal Cinemas. The alarm was canceled nine minutes later. The general manager was on location and reported that the alarm was having issues.
7:25 am – An arrest was made on Wagner Avenue have the police got a 911 call about a group of people fighting.
9:37 am – A resident of Anna Court died. The 79-year-old’s death was reported as a natural death.
10:25 am – A Cromwell Drive mother called the police to say her son absconded with her car. He said he was only going to run an errand but never returned. Mom is concerned because he is a known drug addict.
1:22 pm – A group home called the police because a resident was thought to be growing marijuana in his room. Officers were unable to determine what he was growing because the plant was just a seedling. The home was going to take care of the issue. The police returned to the home after staff members found a pot pipe. It was destroyed.
5:16 pm – A woman called 911 to say she dropped an envelope full of $1,300 in Walmart.
7:10 pm – A stolen vehicle was recovered by Buffalo police near Memorial Drive. It was unoccupied.
8:03 pm – The police is investigated a death threat towards a former police officer.
