First responders were called out to 148 incidents across the town on Tuesday. Here are some of the issues.
1:43 am – Police were called to a home on Lovejoy Street after a man said he wrestled a crack pipe away from his girlfriend. The girlfriend bit the man to the point that an officer noticed he was bleeding and had teeth marks on him. He declined EMS treatment. She was arrested and a domestic incident report was filed.
7:07 am – Bellevue and South Line firefighters were called to help a man who fell while getting on a ParaTransit bus.
7:37 am – Forks firefighters were called to a crash on the westbound I-90. Two people were taken to the hospital for injuries.
11:31 am – U-Crest firefighters were called to a plaza on Union near Genesee Street. A water flow alarm went off. It turned out to be a broken pipe.
12:35 pm – A person living on David was told by police they are not allowed to empty the snow from their driveway into the street.
4:30 pm – U-Crest firefighters and an ambulance crew were called to the Made in America store in the Galleria after an elderly woman fell in the store.
4:57 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to Chesterfield Drive after a woman drove a car through the back of a garage. The building inspector said the structure was unsafe to remove the vehicle right away. The driver was helped out by firefighters.
5:45 pm – A man on George Urban Boulevard called because he had video of people throwing ice at the building. There appeared to be no damage and he was advised by police.
5:45 pm – A person on Danbury Drive was advised about a number of issues by an officer on patrol. They were told to stop parking on the front lawn, blocking the sidewalk, aa broken basketball hoop in the yard, and needing to move a jet-ski trailer from the front lawn.
7:07 pm – A police report was filed after a landlord on Mt. Veron Road started shutting off the power to the home and throwing their tenant’s property around.
7:30 pm – Police were called to Linda Drive because a woman said she had a bat in her apartment. Officers were not able to track down the bat.
7:55 pm – A man was arrested for marijuana possession after someone called police because he was acting sketchy around Thruway Plaza.
8:46 pm – A woman called to report her son’s dog as stolen. The son is out of town and his friend will not bring the pup over for her to watch. She was advised by police.
10:28 pm – Officers did some community policing at a few hotels near the airport. They were checking around to make sure everything was in order with a bunch of hockey parents in town.
