Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Cheektowaga first responders were called out to 159 incidents on Tuesday.

12:17 am – Two people were arrested for narcotics on Genesee Street. This is after a call came in about people going into cars with flashlights in an apartment complex.

1:26 am – Police had to check on a couple firefighters due to Facebook posts involving guns. There was concern because the poster recently lost an election for assistant chief. Everyone was advised. No one was at risk for harm.

1:38 am – A man was arrested for checking car doors on Victoria Boulevard.

3:07 pm – A call was made for a fight inside a school bus on Bigelow Road. The school nurse came out to check on the students. There were no apparent injuries. A police report was filed because the kids on the bus were emotionally and mentally challenged.

3:46 pm – A woman went to get her items from her home after a house fire on Gaby Lane. She returned to find her TVs missing from the home. A police report was filed.

5:09 pm – A police report was filed after a three-year-old had a chemical spilled on him at his mother’s place of work. He was taken to Children’s Hospital to be checked out.

6:09 pm – An employee was fired for larceny from Target on Walden Avenue.

6:25 pm – Someone was arrested for public urination at the Galleria.

7:10 pm – Forks firefighters were called to the police headquarters. There was a smell of smoke on the second floor. It turned out it was coming from a light ballast. Maintenance was called in to fix the issue.

9:32 pm – Forks firefighters were called to deal with the odor of paint thinner a resident on Bahama Lane was smelling in their basement. It turned out to be coming from work the Town was doing on sewer lines.
