Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Thursday, July 5, 2018

First responders attended to 248 complaints on July 5, 2018.

4:37 am – An intoxicated woman was arrested on Meadow Place after she harassed a known man by not letting him sleep.  A domestic incident report was filed.

5:27 am – An ex-boyfriend was arrested for burglary and endangering the welfare of a child.  He came through a window on Viola Drive and was laying in the complainant’s bed.

5:40 am – An 80-year-old woman died on Messer Avenue.  The police filed a natural death report.

6:06 am – A home on Hedwig Avenue was searched by the US Marshals.

6:15 am – A William Street resident called the police after she found an unknown man sleeping on her porch.  The man was sent on his way.

8:28 am – A resident of Dean Road said her roommates put all her belongings at the curb, urinated on some of it.  No charges were filed.

9:32 am – The Dog Control Officer and police responded to the Walmart parking lot to check on dog locked inside a vehicle.  The Dog Control Officer noted the temperature inside the vehicle was 102 degrees.  The owner was located and advised.

11:37 am – The police investigated two burglary attempts on Fairhaven Drive and Virginia Road.

11:40 am – A Jeep Wrangler at Five Star Automotive on Union Road was damaged.  A police report for criminal mischief was filed. The police said a window on the Jeep was slashed.

1:55 pm – A recreation employee found an Adderal pill on the basketball court at Griffith Park.

4:31 pm – Pine Hill firefighters responded to the library at Town Park to extinguish a mulch fire.

4:44 pm – An AMR ambulance took two people to St. Joes from a crash scene on Borden Road.

4:53 pm – U-Crest firefighters extinguished a mulch fire on Genesee Street. 

6:26 pm – Forks firefighters extinguished a mulch fire at Walden Galleria.

7:30 pm – A hit-and-run driver was arrested after a crash on Fairelm Lane.

8:49 pm – A resident of Hoerner Avenue said someone came into her house and cut the cable line in the basement.

9:06 pm – A large bonfire on Losson Road brought out the police.  The fire was put out.

10:44 pm – West Seneca Police pulled over a “rolling domestic” at Harlem and Clinton.  The incident started at the Rossler Avenue McDonalds.  Nobody wanted to press charges.

11:40 pm – Mustard and toilet paper were put all over a Chevy Malibu on Rutland Avenue.

11:59 pm – U-Crest firefighters extinguished a mulch fire that extended to an electrical box at a business on Genesee Street.  Firefighters had to ventilate the building.
